Director

Dr Khalid Anis

Dr Khalid Anis MBE BDS DDPHRCS MSc FFPH MBA

A Clinician with a vision!

An award-winning senior clinician with extensive experience across the breadth of dentistry, facial aesthetics and healthcare.

Dr Khalid Anis is an award-winning general dental practitioner and a Facial Aesthetic Practitioner with extensive experience across all segments of dentistry.  Dr Khalid was awarded the MBE for services to dentistry, an award presented by Her Majesty the Queen, and an honour the Dr Khalid recognises as “one of the proudest moments of my life”

Dr Khalid has an MSc in Public Health from the University College London and a Diploma in Dental Public Health from the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng). He also has an MBE from the University of Keele and was awarded a Fellow of the College of Public Health.

He previously worked as a clinical director of dentistry and a consultant in public health. He has acted as an advisor to the Department of Health on several dentistry-related issues. Dr Anis has lectured extensively around the world and has helped in disaster management abroad. His teaching skills have led him to work as a Clinical Lecturer at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute (University College London) and as an Educational Supervisor, training young foundation dentists to work in a general practice environment. He is also a keen mentor to aspiring dentists.

Dr Khalid has built a reputation as a professional, high-quality, ethical and caring clinician.

Khalid also has extensive experience in public relations and media engagement. Khalid was the Director of a public relations organisation called CitrusMango! Khalid also has expertise in large-scale project management and delivery.

In his spare time, Khalid has been a junior hockey and cricket coach and loves being an amateur photographer.

Dr Yaser Al Daker

Dr Yaser Al Daker is highly experienced with advanced qualifications in Oral Surgery.

Yaser graduated as a dentist in 1989 and then completed an MSc in oral surgery from Manchester University.

He has worked extensively in a hospital environment, excelling at oral surgery, implants and the use of sedation for nervous patients.

Yaser has been helping patients regain their smiles by replacing missing teeth with implants in Chester for over 8 years. His experience shines through in any consultation and is noted for helping to treat anxious patients.

Clinical Lead Orthodontics

Dr Basil Hatahet

Dr. Basil Hatahet is a dentist with a special interest in orthodontics, who has over 20 years of experience straightening patients’ teeth and giving them smiles to be proud of. He is very popular amongst our staff and patients alike.

Basil is a member of the British Orthodontic Society.

Basil provides a wide range of Orthodontic services including Invisalign, conventional fixed, clear and lingual (incognito) braces and also six-month smiles.

He believes that braces are for all age groups and there is no age limit for orthodontic treatment. He has successfully treated thousands of patients ranging from children to retired adults.

Clinical Lead — Endodontics

Dr Reem Al Yamoor

BDS, MFDSED, PGCert Endo, PGDipEndo, MSc Endodontology

Dr Reem Al-Yamoor has a special interest and extensive experience in undertaking complex root canal treatments. She accepts referrals from other dentists to treat root canals that may be too complex for routine dental care.

Her special interest in root canal treatment successfully led her to complete a master’s degree in the science of endodontology with distinction from the University of Chester.

Reem believes that high-quality dentistry is essential to provide the best service for her patients.

She has a passion for continuing to develop herself and her clinical work. She is in the process of completing a post-graduation certificate in dental implantology and is a member of the British and European academy of implant and restorative dentistry (BAIRD Academy) in Leeds.

Clinical Lead Smile Makeovers

Dr April Whitlock

After completing her first degree in Zoology at the University of Sheffield and working in molecular ecology research, April went on to train in dentistry at the University of Liverpool, qualifying in 2010 and completing Foundation Training in Exeter while raising her two young children.

April has a love of lifelong education and has undertaken many training courses to build on her skills and knowledge.  She attained full membership in the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 2019 and is currently undertaking a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry.  April has a breadth of experience that few clinicians can match in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry. Her attention to detail, excellent communication skills and willingness to go the extra mile, assure great outcomes and patient satisfaction.

April is committed to a healthy life involving time outdoors, in particular, running and family walks, and finds equal fulfilment in reading, being in the garden, travelling and food, or simply coffee with a friend.

Dr Muataz Osman graduated from the University of Benghazi in 2008. He worked as GDP with special interest in periodontics and implant dentistry for 6 years in a private practice. During that time he was a clinical and academic tutor in the restorative department at LIMU (2010-2012). Between 2012-2014 he was a TA in the oral biology department at the University of Benghazi, from which he achieved a scholarship to get his PG education.

Dr Osman obtained his clinical Masters in Periodontics from the University of Manchester with distinction (2015-2018) – this grade qualified him for a place in Clinical PhD studies, finishing September 2022.
Dr Osman is now an honorary clinical tutor in the PG Periodontology program at the University of Manchester.

Denise Dennan

Hi, I’m Denise Dennan. I grew up in Chester and attended Ellesmere Port grammar school for girls. I qualified as a dental hygienist at Liverpool dental school in 1980 and have worked as a dental hygienist continuously ever since. In 1991, I gained a qualification from the Royal Society of Health and the University of Nottingham in oral health education. I have five children and four grandchildren, all living very close. I enjoy spending much of my free time with them all.
I have been at Chester Cosmetic & Dental Care since 2008 and I love being part of such a fantastic team who are all committed to providing a positive patient experience. We have wonderful patients, many have become like friends and I look forward to meeting many more

I started off my dental nurse career in 1990 and qualified in 2000,i joined CCDC in 2004 as a full time
nurse. Having time off to get married and start a family when I returned to work i continued my career
more on reception.i love the buzz of reception the meeting and greeting of patients and the
organisation of diary’s etc.
Outside of work time is spent with my husband and 2 teenage children who both swim for buckley
swimming club.we enjoy trips away visits to local restaurants.

I first started when we opened as a dental practice in 1997 as a dental nurse/receptionist. Can't believe
that was 25 years ago. I am now the Practice Manager, qualified dental nurse, have gained extra
qualifications in dental radiography and conscious sedation.
I enjoy the interaction with our patients and a lot have become fond friends. I hope they feel they same
about us. I am reliable and caring and our staff and patients know I am always there to support them!
Outside work… I love family life, 1 husband, 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 1 tortoise. I have lived all
my life in Chester.
My hobbies include travelling/holidays, baking, cake decorating going to the theatre and spending time
with family and friends.

I started my dental career in 2007 as a trainee dental nurse working with a range of NHS and private clinicians. After qualifying in 2011 I branched out into orthodontics where I gained my dental radiography and orthodontic nursing qualifications shortly afterwards.

I was offered a lead nurse position in 2014 and carried this out until I moved In to practice management in 2021.

I love to be part of a team I strive In helping staff and patients, leading a team and being organised.

I feel I have gained many skills and abilities over my career so far,and i’m also on hand to nurse where needed.

Outside of work I have a husband, son and a sausage dog keeping me busy. I am also involved in my son’s football team which keeps me active on the side lines most weekends. I enjoy socialising with my family and friends. I also like to explore new countries when possible, preferably hot destinations😊

I started my career in 2017. I started working in the NHS. As i developed my skills and gained experience i made the decision. To move into private practice so that i could acquire new skills and further my development.
I started at CCDC in summer 2022 and have become the head nurse which gives me greater responsibilities and enables me to utilise my experience and skills to a greater level.
Out of work i enjoy keeping fit by going the the gym and walking
I love socialising with friends and family.
I really enjoy going to music concerts as well.
